About Us Our Mission Services Benefits Careers Contacts

Q. What if I don’t have a PACS System?

A. UnitedRADS will assist in your transition of images to our system using several affordable options available and where applicable.

Q. What if I don’t have Dicom ready modalities?

A. In many cases there are options for frame grabbing and equipment that can send such information in a Dicom conversion. Such systems, however, do not have the necessary quality required to read Teleradiology cases effectively. This may also prove to be more costly

Q. How fast do you return my reports?

A. In most cases, an emergent report is turned around in less than 30 minutes from the time all images are processed and submitted to our image server. Final interpretations or routine studies are generally turned around in less then 12 hours. We can even have evening work be interpreted by morning when requested in order to discharge a patient or have information ready for the morning rounds.

Q. Do you charge for Preliminary and charge again for a Final if needed?

A. No. We have comprehensive pricing that accounts for Prelim and Final interpretations in an event where both are needed. We also have separate distinguishable pricing for Prelim only and Final only interpretations.

Q. Do you allow access to our staff in order to re-print your reports or track cases?

A. Yes. We have a secure portal for your staff to engage our systems securely and on an as needed basis.

Q. Can we see the images that may reside on your system?

A. Yes. The images are available for viewing, however, we would have to install a small ActiveX component to allow access to the viewer. In many scenarios, an organizations IT environment may allow for this and may not. Your individual IT policy may stand in the way or allow this. If allowed, we can grant access to images. This may also be helpful to the ED staff or attending physician in many cases.

Q. How will be charged for your services?

A. Our services are provided in several different manners with each client being distinctly different than another. Our pricing takes into account the volume, the number of STAT and emergent cases as well as the complexity of the environment. We generally charge on a per case fee and is negotiable during the time of contract. UnitedRADS fees are very competitive and customary. Rest assured that we are within a standard of pricing consistent with today’s Teleradiology pricing.

Q. Do you bill Medicare/Medicaid or third-party payers?

In most instances no. Our fee structure is designed to take into account a reasonable denial rate and fees for your part of the billing. The widespread accounting of Teleradiology and the huge undertaking of being credentialed nationally in most cases prohibits most Teleradiology organizations from billing third-party payers and Medicare. Under your agreements with Medicare/Medicaid and third-party payer systems you contract your interpretive services from us. You do not bill for them under our group or individual provider numbers. You are essentially purchasing your reports from our organization.
